Chocolatier turned Nutritionist

My hometown was the most overweight city in the nation.

By the age of 12, I was a self-taught cook. I treated my family to an annual scratch-made Thanksgiving where every side, main course, and dessert was made with intention. You could find me flipping a brining turkey at 3 a.m. and steaming pie pumpkins to puree because I enjoyed the busy work. I loved food and wanted others to as well.

After years of working in commercial kitchens, reading countless cookbooks, training as a chocolatier, and honing my skills in the kitchen, I began to realize the deep power food has in influencing one’s quality of life.

This respect for cooking led me to attend nutrition and food courses at Texas State University in San Marcos. I then continued my education with the Nutritional Therapy Association, earning the title of Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I have enjoyed serving hundreds of people on their unique health journeys in the past decade.

My hope for you is that you experience the joy and peace that comes from understanding food’s influence on your daily well-being.
